Many Puerto Rican historical figures have been claimed by political parties or governmental entities, but one hero stands as an icon for every Puerto Rican. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Roberto Clemente’s 3,000 hits in MLB, we collaborated with Flaco Navaja, a Puerto Rican spoken word poet, to write and perform this homage that was used at the official celebration and on social media.
